Demons' Night Fever is a tactical RPG that calls itself a "raising speedrun simulation RPG", which is about as accurate as any short description gets. Killshiro Katanaka is a gloomy young man who hates the world, and the Devil takes him on as a disciple. What follows is grid-based tactical combat wrapped around a raising sim, with one very dark joke at the centre: the Servant Overwork Mechanic. Your allies are a resource. Push them past what they can take and you win the fight; do it too often and you find out what that costs. Drecom and SuperNiche play the whole thing for comedy without softening the maths, and the speedrun framing means runs are built to be replayed and optimised rather than savoured once.
