inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories puts you behind the counter of the Honki Ponki convenience store as Makoto Hayakawa, a college student working a summer of night shifts in a town modelled on early-90s Japan. The work is deliberately small: stock the shelves, straighten the displays, order goods, ring people up. There is no score and no failure state — Nagai Industries built the loop to be calming rather than efficient, down to an ASMR-ish soundscape of fridge hum and till beeps. What the shifts are really for is the regulars, whose lives come into the store a little at a time, and whose stories branch on the choices you make across the counter. There is a gachapon machine by the door, and yes, you will end up collecting all of them. This Premium Edition adds an illustrated inner coversheet, a mini comic, a sticker sheet, and download codes for digital costumes and the soundtrack.
