Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition is the complete version of Bloober Team's psychological horror series, rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 and stitched into a single narrative. You start as The Painter, trapped in a Victorian mansion that rearranges itself behind you while he hunts the materials for a magnum opus that has already cost him everything. Then the Inheritance and The Final Note chapters hand the same house to his daughter and his wife, who saw it very differently. Layers of Fear 2 puts you aboard an ocean liner as The Actor, The Final Prologue casts you as The Director trying to save a doomed production, and The Lighthouse Chapter — written for this collection — gives The Writer the job of tying all of it together. There is almost no combat: it is a game about walking through rooms that will not stay the same. The physical release includes a special case, a lenticular postcard and an artbook.
