Modern Sonic Collection gathers three of the hedgehog's 3D outings for his 35th anniversary. Sonic Frontiers is the big swing — an open-zone Sonic where you are dropped onto the Starfall Islands and left to climb, grind and fight your way across them at your own pace, with the classic linear stages tucked inside as Cyber Space levels. Sonic Colors Ultimate remasters the 2010 Wii game and its Wisp powers, still one of the tightest boost-formula entries. Sonic Forces lets you build a custom character with a grappling hook and run alongside both Modern and Classic Sonic through a Sonic-loses-the-world scenario. Together they cover most of what the 3D games have tried in the last fifteen years. The physical release includes a reversible 35th anniversary cover sheet and a logo patch.
