Qliphah in Providence's Shadow is a tactical RPG set in a Tokyo where reality has worn through and things called Aberrations walk the streets. Souma Hoshigami is a delivery boy until one attacks him and leaves him half-turned — not human, not gone — and police investigator Rena Hizuki pulls him out and puts him to work. What she is chasing is a demonic narcotic moving through the city, glyphs carved into people's bodies, and the cult behind both. The combat is the reason to be here: a counter-timeline system lets you slow the fight to a crawl or stop it dead at any moment, read exactly when every enemy attack lands and every skill recharges, then stack skills into a single devastating turn. Play it as considered tactics or as something closer to an action game — the timeline is yours either way.
