STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is a ground-up remake of the time-travel visual novel that started the Science Adventure series. Every character, background and event still has been redrawn — roughly twice the event images of the original and about 20% more backgrounds — and E-mote animation now gives the cast live expression changes rather than static portraits. The scenario has been re-paced and expanded, and it adds an entirely new worldline with its own ending, which is the first genuinely new STEINS;GATE story content in years. All voice acting has been re-recorded and Takeshi Abo has remade the complete soundtrack. Okabe Rintaro's microwave still sends text messages into the past; almost everything around it is new.
